Saturday 11th October 2025 (Originally 19th July) St Andrews Church – Graveyard Tour For its size, Ampthill has one of the largest graveyards in the county. There are some fascinating characters buried there with interesting stories to be told.  The tour covers some sad stories together with memorials and graves of the Lords and Ladies with fascinating stories to tell.


Fri 31st Oct 7.30pm Market Square – Ghost Walk – Ampthill has more than its fair share of ghost stories—old legends and new tales are shared alongside intriguing facts about the town’s past.


Sat 8th Nov 2pm Market Square – Ampthill in Wartime (3 miles / 2 Hours) – The Civil War and both World Wars left a lasting mark on Ampthill. This walk explores the town’s four war memorials and key buildings linked to its wartime past.

Tue 20th Jan 7.30pm Market Square – Ghost Walk Ampthill has more than its fair share of ghost stories—old legends and new tales are shared alongside intriguing facts about the town’s past.


Sat 25th April 2pm Market Square – Secret Ampthill – In a town like Ampthill, it’s easy to miss hidden gems in plain sight. Uncover those overlooked features, including the town’s historic graveyards.


Sat 16th May 2pm Market Square – John’s Pub Crawl – Ampthill has been home to at least 22 inns and alehouses over the years, visit their locations, stories & roles in the town’s lively past, including the Morris Brewery and other local brewers.


Sat 20th June 2pm Engine & Tender Pub – Vintage Ventures In the past, you could find everything you needed in Ampthill without leaving town. Visit former shop sites and uncover what came before today’s stores.
