Membership

A flourishing membership is an important aspect of our having an influential voice. We aim to represent your views, even if you are unable to attend every event. Joining the Society will help to protect our historic buildings and precious landscapes. In the process, you can enjoy learning more about our heritage, both locally in Ampthill, in the wider Bedfordshire area and further afield.

Annual membership runs from 1st September each year, please renew before 1st September 2025 to avoid receiving pestering emails!

Membership Includes:

• 6 meetings held on the first Tuesday of the month in Oct, Nov, Dec, Mar, Apr and May with no additional door fee.
• Thrice yearly newsletters sent out in Summer, Winter and Spring
• Discounted and priority booking for Ampthill walks programme (£5.00 members, £10.00 public)
• Membership to a society which proactively monitors planning applications
• Opportunities to research and share Ampthill’s rich heritage
• Occasional visits for which an additional charge maybe payable
• Associate membership to Bedfordshire Local History Association

The 2025/26 membership subscription is £20.00 per annum for all members with no additional meeting fees.
